When John Morgan first moved to town, having a song with Jason Aldean was not on his radar, let alone call the veteran artist a friend and collaborator. Flash forward a few years and a number one hit later, the North Carolina power house and the Georgia fan favorite are putting a fresh high octane twist on Morgan's good time hit "Friends Like That."

"It has been cool to see the response to it on its own," Morgan told All Country News of the track. First released in September of 2022, the relatable barn burner has amassed over 20 million streams and climbing. "I think that is what kind of sparked Aldean's interest on the track as well, he was excited to hop on and ready to take it to the next level," John continued. "Obviously he didn't have to twist my arm too much."

While staying true to the roots of the original hit, the partnership of Morgan and Aldean brings in a new vibrance to the already hit worthy track. What makes this new take stand out is its infectious energy and undeniable charisma. Adding in Aldean's flair to the track, levels up the narrative of a guy overcoming an ex thanks to the good friends he has around him. Let's not forget the fact that the two country tenor's vocals are the perfect yin and yang that brings the song to new heights.

The track serves as a delightful ode to camaraderie and resilience in the face of heartache, as conveyed through the lens of country music. With its upbeat tempo, catchy melody, and relatable lyrics, this song captures the essence of finding solace and support in the company of good friends.

With his sights on another radio hit, John's entry into the ones to watch club is once again stamped. Flexing his innate ability to find acute moments of every day life and make them extraordinary and honing in on stories that connect us all, makes John one of today’s most innovative tunesmiths.
