Conner Smith Brings the Magic of the Smokies to His New EP 'Smoky Mountains Sessions' Due Out August 2nd

Breakout singer/songwriter Conner Smith is set to transport listeners to the serene and mystical landscape of the Smoky Mountains with his latest project, "Smoky Mountains Sessions," releasing on August 2 via The Valory Music Co. This four-song collection is now available for pre-save, giving fans a chance to be among the first to experience Smith's newest musical journey.

This year has been a whirlwind for Smith, marked by the release of his critically-acclaimed debut album, a multi-week UK chart-topper, his first-ever ACM Awards nomination, and several headline tours. Yet, as we hit the halfway point of 2024, Smith shows no signs of slowing down.

"Smoky Mountains Sessions" was brought to life under the guidance of esteemed producer/songwriter/mixer Dwight A. Baker. Smith, along with his touring band, recorded the project in just four days at the renowned Echo Mountain Studio in Asheville, North Carolina. The result is a raw and honest collection of songs that capture the essence of Smith's artistry.

“'Smoky Mountains Sessions' came from a desire to get back to the core of songwriting. With these new songs, two of which I wrote by myself, I wanted to create them in a way that felt very raw and honest,” shares Smith in a press release. “Working with Dwight Baker for the first time on this project, we took my band up to Echo Mountains in Asheville and brought these songs to life over the course of four days. This collection is just the beginning of more new music on the way I can’t wait to share!”

The EP features a fresh take on Smith's rising single, "Roulette On The Heart," featuring Hailey Whitters, alongside two solo-penned tracks that highlight Smith's lyrical prowess. Each song is a testament to his growth as a songwriter and artist.
