A newly released layout is giving fans a sneak peek at Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, opening September 29 inside Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in Nashville. Spanning the hotel’s entire third floor, the museum will bring together personal stories, rarely seen treasures and interactive experiences celebrating the woman behind the music.

And the journey starts with a little cabin that helped shape some very big dreams.

Sneak Peek: A Journey That Begins at Home

The newly revealed museum floor plan teases an experience beginning with a recreation of the small cabin where Dolly grew up in the Great Smoky Mountains.

It’s a fitting starting point for an artist whose roots have remained so deeply woven into her songwriting. From there, the museum will follow the people, places and moments that shaped her journey.

For fans, the layout offers a first glimpse of how that story will unfold throughout the space, from her childhood beginnings through the life and career that made her a country music icon.

An Entire Floor of Dolly’s Stories and Treasures

Created by Dolly Parton Productions, Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum will occupy the entirety of SongTeller Hotel’s third floor.

Visitors can expect rarely seen pieces from Dolly’s personal collection, interactive exhibits and thoughtfully curated experiences that bring her story into focus.

The promise of those personal details is especially exciting. Fans know the songs and the signature style. This experience will offer opportunities to connect them with the memories and milestones behind them.

The Museum Has a Musical New Home

The museum will debut alongside Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, created in partnership with Herschend.

Described as Dolly’s love letter to Nashville, the hotel features 245 guest rooms and suites, a café and two live entertainment venues.

On the top floor, Jolene’s will pair nightly performances by rising singers and songwriters with cocktails, elevated small plates and desserts.

On the second floor, Parton’s Live will host writers’ rounds, songwriter sessions and rising-star showcases, giving guests a closer connection to Nashville’s storytelling tradition.

A museum visit followed by live music at Jolene’s? That’s an itinerary Dolly fans can get behind.

Familiar Family Names Join the Entertainment

Entertainment programming begins September 14, ahead of the September 29 official debut.

Dolly’s cousin Richie Owens will perform September 16 at Parton’s Live, while her niece Jada Star launches a twice-weekly artist residency with performances September 17 and 19.

The hotel is also partnering with FEMcountry, founded by veteran music industry executive Leslie Fram, to spotlight established female artists and songwriters through monthly performances at Parton’s Live.

When Does the Museum Open?

Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum and SongTeller Hotel officially debut together Tuesday, September 29.Museum tickets become available for purchase beginning that day.

Until then, the newly released floor plan gives fans a little something to pore over, and a first look at how Dolly’s larger-than-life story will find its home in Music City.
