After eight years of living and working in Nashville, Schneider felt like he had matured both personally and artistically, and that maturity is evident in every track on PUZZLED. “I’ve been in Nashville for a long time now,” he reflects. “And I felt like I was ready. It was time to dive in headfirst and put together something that really represents who I am now.”

“It was stressful, honestly,” he laughs. “I wanted the title to reflect everything I’ve been through since coming to Nashville, everything I’ve learned, and the person I’ve become. But I didn’t know exactly how to say it.”

“I’ve been puzzled,” Schneider explains, smiling as he remembers the realization. “Everything in life, my career, putting this album together—it’s all been like a puzzle. My team has changed, I’ve changed, and the music has evolved. But all those pieces came together at the right time. That’s when I knew PUZZLED was the perfect title.”

The metaphor of a puzzle also led to the creation of the album’s title track, which Schneider wrote entirely by himself—a rarity in today’s collaborative Nashville songwriting scene. “It’s the last song on the album, and it’s one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written,” he says. “Something was watching out for me that night because the creativity just flowed. The song came together effortlessly, and it ended up being one of my favorites on the whole album.”

Honing His Sound: From Live Show Energy to Studio Magic

But I feel like I’ve finally got the right team now.”
