This Veterans Day, we pause to honor the bravery, sacrifice, and continued strength of those who have served. At Good Scentiments, we believe gratitude is not just spoken yet it’s felt, remembered, and carried forward.
Scotty Hastings is a testament to resilience in motion. A country artist, U.S. Army veteran, and proud Purple Heart recipient who turned adversity into art and service into song.
In 2011, while serving overseas as an Army Infantryman, Scotty survived being shot ten times and medically evacuated from Afghanistan. That moment didn’t define his ending yet it opened the door to a new chapter.
He found healing in melody, purpose in storytelling, and a new grounded sense of gratitude that continues to shape his life and inspire countless others.
