Ryman Auditorium witnessed a whirlwind of talent and generosity as the Stars for Second Harvest benefit concert took center stage yesterday, this past Tuesday, June 4th. This annual event, presented by Nissan, not only showcased some of country music's brightest stars but also served a noble cause, raising enough funds for a staggering 1.4 million meal donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

The evening unfolded with an electrifying atmosphere as country music maverick and hometown hero, Ernest, spearheaded a lineup of renowned artists including Hardy, Darius Rucker, Chase Rice, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson, and more. Each artist lent their talents to support Second Harvest's mission of combating hunger in the community, proving that music truly has the power to make a difference.


The night commenced with a spellbinding writers round, a unique showcase of raw talent and heartfelt storytelling. Hardy's anthemic "Truck Bed" had the entire Ryman singing along, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. From Mitchell Tenpenny's poignant "Truth About You" to Darius Rucker's timeless "Let Her Cry," every performance resonated deeply with the audience, culminating in a crescendo of emotion and camaraderie.

From the introspective "Did it for the Story" to the soul-stirring Merle Haggard cover "That’s the Way Love Goes," Ernest captivated hearts and minds with every note.

Together, they debuted a brand-new song, "Anything Gettin to You Has Gotta Go Through Me," a testament to the power of musical camaraderie and creative synergy.
