Rising country star and seasoned actor Jet Jurgensmeyer is proving he has just as much to say as he does to sing. His new music video for the powerful single “RED” arrives not just as another release, but as a heartfelt anthem crafted to bring people together, a rare kind of offering that blends cinematic visuals, soul-stirring lyrics, and country tradition in a way that feels both classic and fresh.

The inspiration for “RED” struck Jurgensmeyer on the road, quite literally. While driving to a writing session with collaborators Ericca Latza and Kayleigh Clark, the first time all three creatives had been in the same room, the idea for the track began to take shape. Wanting to start the session with a concept that had weight and soul, Jurgensmeyer pitched the word “red.” What started as a color quickly transformed into a symbol.
“I love the song ‘Human’ by Cody Johnson and the message behind it, and I really wanted to create something in that same spirit for my own project – a song that brings people together," Jet shared.
“RED” does just that. It honors the grit and pride that define the working class, the shared humanity that transcends political lines, and the patriotic spirit tied to the red stripes of the American flag. From the crimson dust on a pair of worn boots to the blood that runs through every vein, the track offers a universal reminder: we’re not so different after all.
The music video captures that message with striking imagery. Set against a backdrop of country landscapes, farmland, and everyday life, the visuals bring “RED” to life with authenticity and heart. Each frame feels like a love letter to the people who wake up early, work with their hands, and wear their pride without apology.
With “RED,” Jet Jurgensmeyer steps into his own as not just a performer, but a storyteller with purpose, one whose voice is equal parts earnest and commanding. And as the song gains traction, it’s clear this is more than a single. It’s a statement.
