Texas juggernaut Josh Abbott Band is back with a Friday night anthem in Barstool Boys. Known for their powerhouse sonics and Texas POV, Josh and the boys once again deliver on the promise to write songs for the everyday man.

Stylistically provocative, from the first twang filled note, listeners know they are in for a toe tappin' time. In just under three minutes the guys from Lubbock will send you straight to the honky tonk. Full of southern charm and a good ole country music double entendre, from first to last note Barstool Boys is a thoroughly engaging listen and hymn for the weeks end.

"The day I wrote this with Erik Dylan and Josh Kiser, I knew we had a heater on our hands,” shares Josh Abbott in a press release. “We first recorded this with a different intro, but I told the band I loved the energy of the live harmonica solo, and I wanted to start the song off with that same energy. We’ve been sneaking ‘Barstool Boys’ into our set for a couple months now, from Texas to California, from Minnesota to the U.K.! And every single time people are jamming out and asking about the song afterwards on social media. We’re fired up to get a banger out just in time for football season, and like the song says: ‘Bet your ass I’m gonna bet the over!’”

A staple in the Texas music scene since forming in 2006 at Lubbock’s Texas Tech University, the Josh Abbott Band has become an icon in the Lone Star State thanks to numerous successful singles and albums over the last decade plus. Steadfast in creating songs that country fans crave, Barstool Boys honors JAB's commitment to Texas traditionalism and engaging stories. Lets raise a frosted glass to the Josh Abbott Band. Cheers.
