JUST IN: Morgan Wallen Ties Harry Styles For Impressive Billboard Record

I wonder if Morgan Wallen knew that Last Night was going to be the song of 2023 when he recorded it.

According to Billboard, Morgan's mega hit ties for the fourth-longest command ever, and the longest for a song by an act with no accompanying artists in the chart's 65 year history. With this impressive feat, the Tennessee native now ties pop sensation Harry Styles' As It Was for the longest rule for a song by an act with no accompanying artists.

Clearly nothing to scoff at.

Last Night first lead the Hot 100 in March of this year, becoming Wallen’s initial leader on the list, and has now logged five distinct stays at No. 1: March 18; April 15-22; May 6-July 8; July 22; and Aug. 12, according to Billboard.

I know that last night we let the liquor talk

I can't remember everything we said, but we said it all

You told me that you wish I was somebody you never met

But baby, baby, something's tellin' me this ain't over yet

Morgan now only sits behind “One Sweet Day,” by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men and, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber smash hit “Despacito,” who logged 16 weeks on top. If Morgan can stay on top for another 4 weeks, he will tie "Old Town Road" from Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, who holds the all time record at 19 weeks.

A ccording to Luminate, the track written by John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, and Ryan Vojtesak drew 67.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (down 10%) and 26.7 million streams (down 8%) and sold 7,000 downloads (down 11%) in the July 28-Aug. 3 tracking week.

Morgan Wallen also continues to sell out shows on his impressive One Night At A Time Tour, including a historic three night run at Boston's Fenway Park August 16th-18th.
