Kenny Chesney is not waiting until his newly announced stadium tour to bring his next chapter to the stage.

Fresh off his second Sphere residency and a high-energy performance on NBC’s TODAY, Chesney has announced a surprise, one-night-only concert at The Pinnacle in Nashville. The intimate show will celebrate his new album, Silver Sands Marina, with tickets priced at just $10.

There is only one catch: Fans will have to register for the opportunity to purchase them and demand is expected to be enormous.

Kenny Chesney Is Going From Stadiums to an Intimate Nashville Stage

Chesney announced a massive 19-city stadium tour earlier this week, but his excitement surrounding the new album proved too great to keep contained until then.

“This new music—maybe because we’ve had so much time to get it to this place—has taken me back to when albums mattered, the songs kind of spoke to each other, and we found some really special, unusual things,” Chesney shared.

After getting a taste of the new material during his TODAY Citi Concert Series appearance at Rockefeller Plaza, he knew he wanted to keep the momentum going.

“Between loving this record and just getting to play a little bit at ‘TODAY,’ I figured we should keep rocking—and maybe make it a little bit bigger than a Keg in the Keys or Keg in the Closet show,” he explained.

“So, we got everybody together…and we’re taking over the Pinnacle in Nashville. One night only, probably not more than a couple thousand tickets, and we’re trying to make it fun and fair to get in.”

Fans Could Hear Up to Seven New Songs

The show will give a small group of fans one of their first opportunities to experience songs from Silver Sands Marina in a live setting.

Chesney suggested that he and his band could perform as many as seven of the album’s 11 tracks during the event.

“If the band and I can get it together, we’re gonna play five, six, maybe even seven of these eleven songs,” he teased. “I can’t wait.”

Early reactions to the title track, “Goldfish” and “Carry On” during Chesney’s TODAY performance only added to his anticipation.

Silver Sands Marina is finally gonna be here, and seeing the reaction just to the title track, ‘Goldfish’ and ‘Carry On’ at ‘TODAY,’ I think this is going to be one of those times where new music actually takes people higher,” Chesney said.

For fans unable to secure a spot inside the venue, the concert will also be carried on No Shoes Radio.

Here’s How Fans Can Try to Get $10 Tickets

Only a few thousand tickets are expected to be available for the high-demand event. Each ticket will cost $10 and will be distributed through Fair AXS, a registration-based system designed to place tickets directly into the hands of fans instead of bots.

Fans can register through Saturday, September 19, at 9 p.m. CT for the opportunity to purchase tickets. Those selected will receive a private purchase link connected to their AXS account.

Register for the opportunity to purchase tickets here.

Registration does not guarantee tickets, and fans will not need to race through checkout the moment the window opens. Fair AXS uses identity-based ticketing and event-specific policies to give artists more control over pricing and distribution.

The Pinnacle Plaza Will Become Silver Sands Marina

The celebration will extend beyond the concert itself.

From 5 to 10 p.m. CT on Thursday, September 24, and noon to 10 p.m. CT on Friday, September 25, The Pinnacle’s plaza will be transformed into the world of Silver Sands Marina.

The immersive album experience will include life-size installations, photo opportunities, food trucks, bars and additional fan activities. Attendees will also be able to purchase physical copies of the album, including signed vinyl records, CDs and special variants.

HEY NOW Records will help bring the activation to life, turning the album release into a full-scale Nashville experience.

“Why Wait for the Tour?”

The surprise concert captures the same spontaneity and excitement behind Chesney’s upcoming Original Vibe Room Tour. Its name reflects the explosive early years when he was selling one million tickets each summer—and the passion that continues to drive him decades later.

For Chesney, the new album is about more than simply releasing another collection of songs. It is about creating the kind of music that becomes permanently attached to important memories.

“I love the idea that songs can give people their lives in three- and four-minute pieces, that it can lift them up or thrill them when they most deserve and need it,” he shared.

“When I started listening back, I said, ‘Why wait for the tour?’ The band is so hot, and we’re having so much fun, we figured we’d learn some of these songs and go for it.”

For the lucky fans who land one of those $10 tickets, the evening could offer a rare chance to see one of country music’s biggest touring artists in a room dramatically smaller than the stadiums he usually commands.

“Come be part of it,” Chesney added. “And know even if you’re just listening, I think that energy will carry through your speakers.”
