Los Angeles got a little more country as Wyatt Lowe brought the desert to the city, celebrating the release of his latest album, Deserts, with an unforgettable night of musis and dancing at Gold Diggers. Bringing together music, friends, and fans of country music, the intimate Hollywood hotspot set the stage for a celebration of Lowe’s newest chapter as an artist. With Deserts officially out in the world, the evening was all about turning the volume up, raising a glass, and giving fans a closer look at the artists behind the music.

If there was any question about how Deserts was meant to be experienced, Lowe answered it loud and clear. Backed by an eight-piece band, including two powerhouse backup vocalists, he turned Gold Diggers into a full-throttle country-rock party. The energy was electric from the first note, with a wall of sound filling the room, the crowd locked in, and not a single soul standing still. Between the roaring instrumentals, soaring harmonies, and undeniable chemistry on stage, Lowe made it clear that Deserts is more than an album to listen to — it's a record built to be felt live.

We had the opportunity to meet up with Wyatt Lowe before he took the stage to ask what sets his new album apart. Wyatt answered, "This album is really unique because we went back into the studio and really built this around the guitar and really built this around the scenery of a desert during a tarantula rainstorm. If you've ever driven through a desert, you get caught in a rainstorm, it's absolutely stunning. So many of these songs on this album were written with that in mind, written with the guitar just as important with the melody and the vocals, and so, this album, songs like "Deserts," "Story of Your Life," "Dreaming," — these songs have the guitar at the front and center and it feels like it's crying out in the middle of the barron wasteland of the desert. It's a fantastic visual along with a beautifully recorded album in my opinion."

When asked who some of his musical inspirations include. Wyatt shared, "There's been so many artists over the career, especially as a guitar player, who have inspired my musical style — from the blues roots of guys like BB King to the rockabilly of Bryan Setzer, and then all the way to the Americana Country California heartland rock sound of Neal Young, Bruce Springsteen, these are the sounds you're going to hear on this record and it is a fantastic amalgamation of all of it."
