Miranda Lambert Celebrates First Number One As A Writer With Wallen Hit "Thought You Should Know"

Texas native and country superstar Miranda Lambert is no stranger to being at the top of the charts!

But this week marks a first for the CMA winner. While fellow star Morgan Wallen celebrated his 8th #1 with the touching "Thought You Should Know," Miranda celebrated her first as a writer!

The singer took to social media to share a sweet message and picture from the writing room!

The tune, which was a co-written by Miranda along with Nicolle Galyon, topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, as well as Mediabase this week for the second week in a row.

Honestly, it is shocking that this is Lambert's first #1 as a writer. While she has had plenty of chart topping success with her own songs, Miranda can now add this to her impressive resume! Miranda's first number one was back in 2009 with "White Lair"

Morgan Wallen teamed up with Lambert and Galyon to tribute to his mama Lesli.“Thought You Should Know” was released on Mother’s Day 2022, where Morgan humbly admits “all those prayers… finally made their way through.” The song has broken streaming records and has currently over 115M streams on Spotify alone!

Needless to say we hope that the Lambert, Wallen writing team continues!
