Country star Riley Green traded his guitar for a glove Monday night, stepping up to the plate not just as a player, but as a philanthropist with purpose. At this year’s Rock ‘N Jock Celebrity Softball Game, Green presented a $75,000 donation to Folds of Honor through his charitable initiative, the Buford Bonds Fund. The heartfelt contribution will help fund educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

Now in its fifth year, the Rock ‘N Jock event continues to blend entertainment with impact, and Green’s involvement has become one of its most anticipated constants. For the Alabama native, the cause is deeply personal. The Buford Bonds Fund, launched in 2023 and named in honor of his grandfathers, both veterans, was built on the values of service, sacrifice, and support.
Since its inception, the Buford Bonds Fund has steadily expanded its reach. Beyond its support for Folds of Honor, the fund has backed recovery efforts led by The Recording Academy in the wake of natural disasters and launched its first annual charity golf tournament, which brought in over $150,000 to continue the fund’s mission.
Whether he’s topping charts or teeing off for charity, Riley Green is proving that country music can move hearts and make real change. And for the countless families touched by his generosity, his impact goes far beyond the stage.
