For those who know their country music history, the original Winners was famously mentioned in Toby Keith’s 2003 hit, "I Love This Bar." A popular spot among Nashville's locals, is where legends and newcomers alike have shared a drink. And Riley Green? He's no stranger to this scene, often seen performing at Loser's—another Midtown staple right next door— most recently with friends Ella Langley and Jamey Johnson.
But change is in the air! While the bar has been closed for some time now, last month it was announced that Winners would be undergoing some renovations. Winners was once home to Whiskey Jam, the Nashville staple event that was once a weekly tradition. But don't worry It’s just moved down the street to Whiskey Row on Lower Broadway.
Dubbed “The Duckman” by his fans—an ode to his hunting hobbies—Riley Green is bringing a taste of the outdoors to his new bar. According to The Nashville Business Journal, things are already underway at 1913 Division St in Nashville. The building sign permit for “Riley Green’s Duck Blind” was officially filed this week on August 7th, and the bar has even snagged its own Instagram handle.
While the grand opening details and interior design remain a mystery, one thing is for sure: Riley Green’s Duck Blind will likely reflect his love of the great outdoors and, of course, feature a cold Busch Light or two. Keep an eye out for updates as Riley Green adds another notch to his growing country music legacy!
