Stagecoach 2026: Wind, Wild Moments & A Whole Lot of Country Magic

Updated: Apr 28

If there’s one thing Stagecoach 2026 proved, it’s that nothing, not even unpredictable desert winds, can keep country music fans from showing up in full force. From sun-soaked singalongs to late-night headlining magic, this year’s festival brought heart, grit, and a whole lot of unforgettable moments across three jam-packed days in Indio.

Friday: Cody Johnson Caps a Star-Studded Kickoff

Stagecoach wasted no time getting started, with Friday delivering one of the most electric opening days in recent memory. Cody Johnson stepped into the headlining slot and absolutely owned it, commanding the stage with his signature blend of traditional country soul and arena-sized presence. Every lyric felt like a shared experience, with fans belting back every word under the desert sky.

Earlier in the day, Ella Langley proved she’s not just rising, she’s arrived. Her set drew a massive crowd that stretched far beyond the stage, a clear sign of her growing star power. And just when things couldn’t get more buzzworthy, she brought out comedian Theo Von during “You Look Like You Love Me.” The unexpected crossover moment had the crowd roaring and instantly became one of the most talked-about highlights of the entire weekend.

Beyond the music, the festival grounds were already buzzing with activations. We checked out Código 1530 Tequila, the official tequila of Stagecoach, where cocktails were flowing inside a bar decked out with George Strait photos and memorabilia. Between a hat decorating station and a DJ keeping the energy high, it felt like the perfect kickoff to the weekend.

Avery Anna delivered a beautifully raw and emotional performance that cut straight through the desert air, while Hannah McFarland continued to build momentum with a confident, crowd-winning set that showcased her undeniable potential. Friday felt like a perfect balance of breakout stars and established hitmakers, and it was only the beginning.

Saturday: Windy Conditions, Unstoppable Energy

Saturday brought a curveball in the form of heavy winds, but if anything, it only added to the grit and resilience that defines Stagecoach.

Riley Green’s set was unfortunately cut short due to the conditions, but what could have been a disappointing moment turned into something truly special later that night. Headliner Lainey Wilson brought him back out, and together they delivered a powerful rendition of “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” It was the kind of emotional, goosebumps-inducing moment that reminds you why live music matters.

Lainey Wilson once again proved why she’s one of the genre’s brightest stars. Her headlining set was equal parts high-energy and heartfelt, filled with swagger, storytelling, and that unmistakable bell-bottom country charm. She even leaned into the spirit of Stagecoach by crowning the festival’s cowgirl of the night, adding a playful, community-driven moment that fans won’t soon forget.

Beyond the headliners, Saturday was stacked with standout performances. Braxton Keith brought a rowdy, honky-tonk vibe that had boots stomping in the dust, Elizabeth Nichols delivered a strong, emotionally charged set, and Treaty Oak Revival turned up the intensity with a performance that felt like a full-on sonic experience. Despite the winds, the energy never wavered.

In between sets, we made our way over to Golden Road Brewing, where their Mango Cart beers with Tajín were a must. Their rooftop setup, one of the only ones at Stagecoach, offered a standout view of the Mane Stage, making it the perfect place to hang out, listen to music, and take in the festival from above.

Sunday: Sunshine, Good Vibes & Legendary Closers

By the time Sunday rolled around, the winds had died down, making way for a picture-perfect final day. The vibe shifted into full celebration mode as fans soaked up every last moment of the festival.

Adam Sanders, fresh off his win on CBS’s The Road, kicked things off with a set that felt like a victory lap, and a promising glimpse into what’s next for him. As the day went on, Kameron Marlowe, Ty Myers, and Hudson Westbrook each pulled in massive crowds, proving just how deep the talent pool runs in today’s country scene.

Then came the legends.

Brooks & Dunn took the stage and reminded everyone why their music has stood the test of time. With hit after hit, they turned the crowd into one giant singalong, blending nostalgia with pure, timeless energy. It was a masterclass in how to own a stage—decades into a career.

By Sunday, it was all about soaking in the final moments, and that included making stops at some of the weekend’s most talked-about activations. e.l.f. Cosmetics was a go-to for a reset, with refreshing slushies, free lip products, and a chance to touch up hair and makeup before heading back into the crowds.

We also stopped by Post Malone’s “Smallest Bar in the West,” which quickly became one of the most fun hangout spots at the festival. With live performances, photo ops, merch, a photobooth, pool tables, and mini beers flowing, it was the kind of place you could easily spend hours in before catching the final sets.

Closing out the weekend was none other than Post Malone, who once again blurred genre lines in the best way possible. His set felt like a celebration of country music’s evolving landscape, bringing together fans from all corners and ending Stagecoach 2026 on a high, unforgettable note.

Stagecoach 2026 had a little bit of everything, massive crowds, emotional surprises, rising stars, and legendary performances. Even when the winds tried to steal the spotlight, the music never missed a beat. It was a weekend that showcased the heart of country music in all its forms, and if this year proved anything, it’s that Stagecoach continues to set the standard for what a festival experience should be.
