Over the weekend, fans at the Calgary stop of their "No Bad Vibes" tour got a treat.
While talking to the crowd, front man Matt Ramsey noticed an offer that intrigued him.
"What was on your phone a second ago," Matt says to a young fan in the crowd. "He says he wants to play guitar on a song of ours called "Nowhere Fast." Fans went wild and cheered on the young man. After a second of disbelief the fan accepted the once in a lifetime offer.
The acoustic heavy song off their 2015 "Meat and Candy" album is a fan favorite and isn't often on the setlist anymore, but fan Tye Pedersen was up for the challenge. Wide eyed and full of excitement, both Matt and Tye rocked the 2015 classic, Tye even threw some great harmonies on the tune.
With beer on our breath in a parking lot
Kill the headlights so we wouldn't get caught
Radio glow on the dash
We were messin' around
We could hardly breathe
Breakin' new ground in my back seat
We had our foot on the gas
Goin' nowhere fast
Needless to say, it is moments like these that make Old Dominion a hit with fans! Hopefully we see more of this at future shows.
