Zach Top is proving that lightning can strike twice.

After making waves with his breakout debut Cold Beer & Country Music, the fast-rising traditionalist is back with a fresh chapter. His sophomore album Ain’t In It For My Health arrives August 29 via Leo33, and if the first taste is any indication, we’re in for something special. The lead single, “Good Times & Tan Lines,” out now, and it's already giving fans a dose of summer escapism wrapped in Top’s signature throwback twang.
The release comes hot on the heels of a career milestone: Top just notched his first #1 at country radio with the steely heartbreak anthem “I Never Lie.” Now, he’s pivoting from sorrow to sunshine. Debuted live at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest, “Good Times & Tan Lines” is a breezy, boot-tapping nod to the carefree spirit of the season, equal parts honky-tonk and hammock swing.
Though details surrounding Ain’t In It For My Health are still tightly under wraps, there’s already a buzz that this might be 2025’s album to beat. With a voice that sounds like it time-traveled from the golden era of ‘90s country and songwriting rooted in sincerity, Top has found a way to bridge generations while staying firmly grounded in tradition.
The timing couldn’t be better. Top is currently on the road supporting Dierks Bentley’s Broken Branches Tour, bringing his growing catalog to iconic venues including Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome, and New York’s Madison Square Garden. He’s also set to grace stages at some of the summer’s top festivals including Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Watershed, and Country Calling.
Zach Top may not be in it for his health, but he sure is in it for the long haul. And if “Good Times & Tan Lines” is any indication, this next era might just be his best yet.
