"Am I Okay?" - Megan Moroney

Directed by Alexandra Gavillet and Megan Moroney

This video follows a strong blue color scheme as Megan Moroney falls for three men before realizing they aren't treating her well. The video begins in an office as Megan falls for a businessman before realizing he’s talking to another girl. She moves on from him and falls for a football player, showing up to his tailgate in a cheerleader uniform with a sign that says “#11 on the field, #1 in my heart.” That is, until she sees another girl with a similar sign! Megan leaves the football player after finding out he cheated on her and moves on. The next guy is cool and spends time with her in the back of a limo. However, he cares more about himself and his looks than her, and she realizes she’s better without him. By the end of the video, she finds a man who treats her well and they run off into a field together. The video is a love story with a happy ending.

"I'm Gonna Love You" - Cody Johnson (with Carrie Underwood)

Directed by Dustin Haney

The cinematography of this video is beautiful. It features horses running across a desert, kicking up dust. Cody Johnson sits on a fence at sunset and stares longingly into the distance, while Carrie Underwood stands in a gorgeous desert scene in a white dress. Throughout the video, Cody and Carrie stare at the camera with looks of yearning until they finally find each other. By the end of the video, Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood sing to each other in the desert while snow falls. The video has the vibes of an old western movie with all its shots of the horses and brings a satisfying conclusion when the two leads find each other at the end.

"Somewhere Over Laredo” - Lainey Wilson

Directed by TK McKamy

This video follows Lainey Wilson as she boards a flight and falls asleep thinking about her old lover. The music video is mostly the dream sequence and mixes surrealism with old western vibes. There are many interesting shots, such as when Lainey Wilson sits on a bed in a field of golden grain and the ground begins to lift up and fold over her, or when the plane flies almost directly above Lainey Wilson riding a horse. Throughout the intense changes of Lainey's dreamscape, she thinks about her lost lover and wonders if her life could be better if she were with him instead. At the end of the video, she wakes up to the plane landing at her destination.

"Think I'm In Love With You” - Chris Stapleton

Directed by Running Bear

This video follows an old man after his death. At the beginning of the video, he dies surrounded by loved ones. However, the tone of the video is not sad. The man dances around his house and behind his coffin as it is taken to his funeral. Throughout the video, there are shots of him and the woman he loved together when they were both younger. At the end, he reunites with her in the afterlife and they dance together. The final shot of the video is Chris Stapleton working at the graveyard and shoveling dirt onto the man's coffin as his family leaves the burial service.

"you look like you love me" - Ella Langley and Riley Green

Directed by Ella Langley, John Park, and Wales Toney

This video follows Riley Green, who plays a wanted felon, as he enters an old western saloon and meets Ella Langley. Ella Langley is performing at the saloon when Riley Green enters and she decides to introduce herself. The two dance before being interrupted by a bounty hunter for Riley Green. Ella Langley then invites the bounty hunter to dance, and all people have fun together at the saloon. The video ends with Ella Langley and Riley Green riding away on horseback. This video has very strong western vibes and both singers are dressed in clothes fitting the time period.

The Country Music Awards take place November 19. Voted on by a panel of country music artists, this year's awards are sure to feature incredibly talented artists. Be sure to tune in to see if your favorite music video wins!
