Move Over Buc-ee’s — Dolly Parton Has A Tennessee Travel Stop Now

There’s a new must-stop destination coming to the Tennessee highway, and naturally, it has a little sparkle, a lot of Southern hospitality, and Dolly Parton’s fingerprints all over it.

Dolly Parton Is Officially Opening a Tennessee Travel Stop

Road trips through Tennessee are about to get a whole lot more fun. Dolly Parton is officially stepping into the travel center world with the launch of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, opening June 24 in Cornersville, Tennessee.

Located off Exit 22 on I-65, roughly an hour south of Nashville, the new flagship location is designed to feel less like a typical gas station stop and more like a warm Tennessee welcome.

And honestly? It sounds very Dolly.

More Than A Pit Stop

The new travel center was created for everyone from truck drivers and touring musicians to families piling into the SUV for summer vacation.

Guests can fuel up, stretch their legs, grab some food, shop exclusive merch, and settle in for a genuinely cozy roadside experience.

The food lineup alone sounds worth the detour.

Visitors can dig into barbecue from DLY BBQ, grab a caffeine fix from Dolly’s Cup of Ambition Coffee, or sit down inside the full-service restaurant and café.

Because if Dolly Parton is involved, you already know nobody’s leaving hungry.

A Love Letter To Tennessee

The flagship Cornersville location also leans hard into Tennessee pride.

An original mural commissioned specifically for the stop will serve as a permanent tribute to the local community, while one of the biggest attractions may become the photo-worthy tour bus installation inspired by the bus Dolly herself traveled in for years while touring the world.

It’s part roadside attraction, part comfort stop, and part country music pilgrimage.

Built From Life On The Road

The concept comes from a partnership between Dolly Parton, longtime manager Danny Nozell, and Gregory H. Sachs, who has operated Tennessean Travel Stops since 2017.

The idea is deeply personal to Dolly, whose life has long revolved around highways, buses, and endless miles between shows.

From growing up in East Tennessee to decades spent crisscrossing the country on tour, the project reflects her lifelong connection to life on the road, while reimagining what a travel stop can actually feel like.

Instead of rushed fast-food counters and fluorescent lighting, the goal is simple: create a place where travelers feel welcomed, comfortable, and maybe even a little inspired before getting back behind the wheel.

Grand Opening Celebration Planned

The June 24 grand opening is expected to be a major celebration, and the public is invited to attend. Additional details surrounding the festivities are expected in the coming weeks.

And in true Tennessee fashion, live music will be front and center.

Local musicians and bands are currently being invited to submit for performance opportunities during grand opening week and future events at the Cornersville location.

Because a Dolly-inspired roadside stop without live music would just feel wrong.
